An 82nd Airborne Division Paratrooper was killed in southern Afghanistan June 24, 2010. Staff Sgt. Edwardo Loredo, an infantryman with 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, was killed by an improvised explosive device during a dismounted operation in the Arghandab River Valley.
